Speeding is bad. You are all evil. I hate everyone that speeds. Everytime you speed a baby dies somewhere. People who speed are dumb.

I would never speed in an S2000 with the top down no matter how stable it might be at 138 MPH according to a GPS unit.

Speed kills and speeders are killers. Don't speed, don't ever go even 1MPH over the speed limit.

I have driven around a bunch of freeway corners (in my dreams) and have never had any issues(over 135). However, my car is also lowered over an inch but even before it was still a blast.

Since I spend at least 1 drive on the freeway per week i hit tripple digits once a week. I take it up to about 105 weekly only for a minute then back down, im too scared to go further as i dont wanna get caught by a cop and i have no radar detector But yes the car is very stable and very comfortable at high speeds, highest spd i got up to so far was 115

Speed in itself does not kill. Stupidity kills. Drunks kill. In the last six years I have had an average of a friend die each year. Not from all the street racing or all the times we went over 130 but from a drunk while doing the speed limit. First friend was hit twice while on the side of the road waiting for the bus, another was hit while coming up over a hill and was struck from the other lane by a drunk, and the stories can go on to one of my co-workers friend that ran off the road when they were drunk just last week.

I did some research in 2000 for the years 1993 to 1999 of State Patrol (for Washington) accident reports. I wanted to find out why my insurance wouldn't drop till 25. I considered it discrimination. Why did Women get better rates. This is what I found for my state. More people die when drivers are intoxicated than by speeders and women are involved with more accidents than men. Sorry women but today more women drive than men. It is all those mini-vans then and now SUV's. No excuse so if you want to go fast make sure there can be no merging traffic and the lanes are clear.

Maximum speed (147MPH) on flat level road, 70F no wind I was aware of, softtop and windows up. It doesn't go any faster than that. Interesting note, I got passed by a Mustang GT

Yep, that's why I would NEVER get a GPS....You have one, "they" have one, a quick calculation of how fast you got from Point A to Point B, and a nice big fresh ticket shows up in the mail. Remember: Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they are *not* out to get you.....
A GPS unit is "supposedly" just a receiverand does not send any info back to the satellites, but who knows what the goverment has come up with. Afterall, GPS was invented by the US military.

As was said previously, a GPS is only a receiver.

I went 125MPH according to the max speed window of my GPS. I thought I was getting hit by rocks the size of marbles by the car in front of me, but they were actually grasshoppers!
