Speeding ticket
I recieved a citation Friday the 13th in West Virgina for going 79 in a 70 mph zone. The officer told me that I would not recieve any points and to just call for the amount I owe. So, i'm thinking ok.. not a big deal...so I call up today, then say that I will recieve points on my insurance because the officer forget to write down the right code. Now, I am unsure as to what to do? I'm already paying 4,000$ a year with not tickets/accidents..ect I dont even want to know what i'm gonna pay if I added 2 points to my insurance. Any suggestions?
Also, this is totally random.. but I'm getting the buzzing tsb done for free and they took the tranny out and said that they're were hot spots all over... what is that suppose to mean? and they are trying to charge me 600 bucks for flywheel and pressure plate with labor. But they said that warranty will cover the clutch? confusinggg... I didnt know that warranty covered clutch? but anyways.. does 600 sound about right? or are they giving me a run for my money?

Honda pulled the same deal with my pressure plate. Tell them they should put you in for special consideration for Honda to replace the flywheel free of charge since it's common knowledge among any Honda personnel that know diddly about the S that the flywheel/clutch combo isn't up to the task the for everyday driving. They'll replace it free of charge. Provide them with the aftermarket flywheel and they should put it in for free as well. Demand to talk to the regional rep if they give you any flack.
If Virginia doesn't assign points for going 9 over, then it should have nothing to with any internal code the officer may have written down. This will be controlled by statutes.
You need to contact the national motorist association. See motorists.org
You should also consider fighting the ticket, depending on the circumstances of the stop. You should never just pay a ticket. At least go for the pretrial and get it reduced.
If you want me to tell you if anything about the stop seems improper, then post the details here, or pm me.

If you fight it and the officer shows up you can ask him if he said that to you in court. Since he did say it he should say oh yeah, and the judge should allow it and the points should drop. If he doesn't show the ticket is dismissed and you don't even pay the fine. So either way, win-win.
