Default Speedometer accuracy

Hi guys, I hit 250 KMH today with my MY01. I didnt have GPS with me, so i would like to know how accurate the s2k's speedometer is. But i had at least 1000 rpm left to do more then 250 and i felt it could do, but it was windy and was not sure about stability... (standard 16inch 225 tires - i'v got 255R18 for summer)

PS: I love driving my S and every km with her... cant wait for summer to be TopDown

Accuracy varies from car to car, but mine ('02) reads about 2% low below 30 kph and is dead on at 160 when measured with GPS. Can't say about higher speeds. Sounds like yours might be reading slightly high.

AP2 , stock tires , exact door cold-pressure specifications, at highway speeds (~75mph), my speedo was 2.4mph below GPS.

edit... or maybe it was 1.9mph... either or

your reading may change depending on mods done to the car.

When I put 40 psi in my tyres, I get 10.1 km actual distance for every 10 km on the odo.

No mods are done on my S except exhausts (but i dont know what are they - applyed by previous owner). Stock winter tires.

ok i will test this against GPS to see.

My Honda has about 100kkm, but i had to change the engine block completely (except head). It went gone, so i have completely new engine with 2500km on it now

+1 for me. I think my speedo runs a little high. I have 01 AP1 with AP2 17" wheels. I don't think this mod should make any kind of difference. Stock gears. Is GPS the only I can check for accuracy?

Same here, added 5% more miles to the lease too.
