Spirited Driving Woes ::rant::
took the s out on a little spirited aaron run...and you know those killer drives
where every shift is perfect, every rev match is just right, and you're
flying high with razorblade precision....
boy, does it suck when everything is the opposite... the accidental 2nd into 5th blue balls feeling...
or the sloppiness of too much gas on the rev-matching or that unruly, "oh noes!" feeling
of hard-smacking the rev limter
i shoulda had my breakfast before driving
graaaaaa

I totally understand. A girl friend of mine wanted to hear the engine roar, so I got on the freeway and started VTECing it to redline. Only thing was, I was too busy talking to notice when to shift and hit the rev-limiter, causing a jolt. This didn't just happen in 1 gear. This happened in 5 gears. Uuuuggh, talk about embarrassing.
By the way, if anyone has ever seen the Best Motoring: Type R Legend video, the end part shows the S2000 running the Nurburgring. The driver red-lines it to the flashy red lights each time, but there's no rev-limiter cutting the gas off. Is there a way to not feed anymore gas to the engine but keeping it right under red-line without a fuel cut-off?

I've had those days... And I've also learned (no, not the hard way) to just take those days easy.
It's best just to go for an easy cruise than to make a mistake that causes, sayyyyyy, a misshift, or worse... It's also on those days, that I've found I enjoy my car for reasons other than it's sporting capabilities.
Drive safe!
