i had a comptech air filter, i just used the k&n oil cleaner with no problems. i got the k&n cleaner from pep boys. just rinse it from the inside, spray the cleaner on, let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse from the inside again, spray the oil on and let it dry before placing it back onto the car. hope this helps.

Note that the Spoon/Speed filter is a dry type, not wet type. It's not designed or suppose to be oiled.
