It fits into the standard air box.

Where did you find this info? It looks promising! Wonder if the price is more reasonable than the Mugen CAI?

Spoon AP1;the picture is from Spoon site,click on Topic .
The price is yes lower, but Mugen piece is different,the Spoon one fits the standard box
with a new filter.

Is this the CAI you were talking of having tested in a windtunnel dyno?

I'd be interested on one, but I'd like to see if it has any actual performance advantage.

Doesn't the Mugen intake require some cutting of the hood sheetmetal? If so, it looks like this one may also require cutting. Is that the case?

Look how squished and restrictive the tube is in the corner. A side view would better show how restrictive this tube is.
