spoon exhaust installed. (long)
yes! i finally got it delivered, (thanx mingster!) at 4: 30 pm.
... and started working on it, at around 11 pm...
it's 2: 50 am... and i am mad tired...
first off all... many, many, many thanx to demonderrick and HopkintonMA- i cannot thank you guys enough for your help tonight- thank you so much!
so... demonderrick and i worked on it ourselves on this project... (actually, 80% demonderrick and 20% me...) instead of taking the car to local shop. we knew it would take much longer, but i needed to save money. also, we could raise the car only so much with the jack stands HopkintonMA had- the job was much harder than it should have been.
taking the stock exhaust off was so hard- almost too hard. at one point, we got so frustrated with
the hard rubber thingys that i just cut off two of them. (two that i didn't need, since spoon's only a single exhaust)
and boy! is this stock exhaust heavy as hell or what!!!
putting on the spoon exhaust part was easier and quicker than removing the stocks, since it was so much lighter-
so... do i like it?
i think so-
the tip is much smaller than i thought- which i like a lot- not ricey at all!
the sound is loud, but not as loud as what i was preparing for.
it definitely rings my ears and sets up the car alarms in the garage though, like others said.
power gains not so sure yet, but i really feel the car pulling somewhat harder, and definitely smoother.
i'll post some pic and also avi files tomorrow.
p.s... if you don't already know how heavy stock exhausts are, you really should try to lift them... i'm telling you now, that you will get disgusted.

The look of the spoon grows on you. After a few weeks of installing mine I started to like it more and more. I also plan on getting the tip professionally polished...I've heard it looks amazing.
The sound was also a bit loud, but like everyone says, you'll get used to it. It also doesn't sound TOO loud from outside the car, which I like. It seems to be much louder from the inside. Also, using the silencer returns the noise to stock (slow as hell though). Nevertheless, the spoon sounds SWEET!
Power gain was a definite notice for me. I also got my S2K dyno'ed after and got the result of 200 to the wheels...(nothing else installed).
So enjoy the spoon exhaust...I love it.
P.S I cut those rubber thingies also!!!

Can you please comment on how it sounds compared to stock when you put the silencer in?
Thanks,
Jimmy
he didn't get the silencer yet... but without it, it really sounds sweet...
it is damn loud, I love it..!! well, it is very different sound compare to mine(Mugen+Spoon Header)
but, in the high rpm, then I think Mugen is louder..!! I love both..!!
