Spoon headers vs. Comptech headers

Default Spoon headers vs. Comptech headers

Hi guys:

I want to buy a header for my S2000, and i want to know which is better, the spoon headers costs $1800 and the comptech cost $1000, both looks alike except the price, Is Spoon header better than comptech????

I don't own either one but have heard that headers make very little difference on the S. If you look at the stock ones you will notice they are tuned tube type. If it's performance you want, you may be able to find a better place to spend $1-2K. An exhaust system also doesn't do much for performance, but at least it sounds different. May I suggest you keep the money in your piggy bank, add to it weekly, and get the big performance booster - forced induction! I guarantee you will notice a difference.

The Spoon header is actually $995.00 through ScienceofSpeed, though, I agree with Mingster, and especially Gary, about the header on the S2000. Spoon's products in general have been designed to not necessarily increase peak horsepower, but to increase midrange for increased driveability at the track and on the street.
