spoon N1 and Mugen N1 ecu's
what exactly do these do? how do they make power? do they lean the a/f out? just wondering all the features of these products. thanks so much.
i don't exactly know if the testpipe adds anything or not but I feel like the car accelerates little bit better before VTEC. I heard the sound of the exhaust without the testpipe on S2000library.com and it is completely different.
I also get backfire most of the time when i heel and toe

Test pipe should add a few, but depends on the rest of the setup.
The Mugen ECU adjusts AFR based on their other mods. It's best when used with Mugen I/H/E because the ECU is set for timing and AFR for exactly those mods (their flow).
But I am pretty sure it helps with just about any setup (assuming it's replacing a stock ECU). This could be wrong, and it MIGHT hurt some dramatic setups. It helps most in the mid-range power and low end torque (like other Mugen plans).

Both ECUs have modified fuel / ignition map (tuned partial throttle as well). Spoon lowers the Vtec engagement point to have smoother Vtec transaction. Mugen have same vtec point and rev limit but recommended to run 70mm exhaust in a certain length and race fuel in order to get the best performance.
