Default Spoon Snorkel owners...need the template

Help! I misplaced the tempate to cut my air guide, and rather than bugger it up, I was hoping one of you might still have it, and can scan it and PM me and i will send email address.

I heard from another member who had fitment problems with his 2004, so A-J Racing better tell Spoon to get their stuff together, because that makes two disgruntled customers, unless we both buggered up the installation. Possible, but unlikely.

In front of? I mean the part that when you are looking into the engine bay from the front there is a V-shaped guide with a center piece near the hood latch that has 3 pop type retainers that when removed allows access to the A/C's receiver/dryer. It sits on top of and I guess you could sasy "in front of" the radiator. So are we talking about the same thing?

If so, then your info is helpful, thx.

Some have warned about running without the air guide, as they think significant amounts of air will bypass entering the rad, but I do not see the big deal, as there is little territory in that location to allow air to bypass. But I could be worng, hence I am asking.

Correction: Get Opak to take care of it.

Anyway, what exactly is the fitment problem you speak of? Thanks.

If you don't locate a template in the next couple of days, I'm sure I can dig mine up.

Actually, the place where the snorkel is hitting (getting hung up on) is the brace that runs along the front of the car (not sure if the previous models had this bar and whether it was the same thickness). The base of the snorkel is convex so the hump hits the bar. If it was flat, there would be a little more room to navigate. I have pictures if anyone needs them.

I am quite sure that there is only ONE way this snorkel goes in, so if anyone with a MY04 did not have an issue, the conclusion one could reach is that there is a variance in build.

A picture would be nice.

The air duct is currently only listed for AP1 application. I suggest talking to whoever you bought the air duct from about the fitment issues on MY04 cars if there indeed is one. Spoon is not known for poor quality control.

I already told Alan at A-J about this, and S2000rr and I exchanged several notes.
