Spoon Snorkel questions
I need some input. Have many of the people on this form have actually installed the Spoon Snorkel. Is there a big difference in performance/fuel economy. I see pics of it and see the big tapering off as it gets over the radiator and wonder if it will make a big difference enough to spend the $$$ for it.
2) How much did you guys pay, where, and how do you feel about it.
3) Snorkel and K&N replacement filter, does it help to have a K&N in there.
4) I have a 2000 Suburban 1500 and had replaced the factory air box with K&N cold air kit as well as a Hypertech 160 Thermostat and the programmer III done. I often smoke little punks in the F/F wanna bee civics at traffic lights....
And was looking to do a similar set up on the S2K because of the difference in performance as well as better MPG. Was wondering if I would get similar results just by simply adding the snorkel along with the K&N replacement filter and a 160 Thermostat.....
Please give me some feedback.
Thanks and have a nice day.

I've installed the spoon snorkel.
You really notice the difference on the freeway, but for drags, the car just feels a bit gruntier. most performance from the snorkel is up at high RPMs.
I've used the spoon air filter, but i don't think there is much of a difference between that and the k&n one. They are both high performance filters.
Note that the mugen air intake system uses the k&n filter.
Don't expect to gain massive performance from the CAI, as the s2000 is already a highly tuned vehicle.
