Spray painting interior trim
The door to my glove box has a scratch on it, i'm thinking about taking it off and spraying the whole door with interior black trim paint...anyone have any experience with this? Does it match well?
If you are going to paint plastic, make sure you get the stuff especially made to stick to plastic. Otherwise mbitton is right, any other paint will not stick and look distressed, unless you are going for that French Country look
I know it exists, but can't remember the brand name. The plastic will also have to be completely cleaned to get any dirt or oils off so that paint will bond to the plastic.
Good luck.

One of my concerns would be the differences in color between the glove box door and the surrounding componants. I think the different shading would be enough to stick out and look "made up". I think you are better off buying a new door or finding some way to cover/hide the scratch.
One of the suggestions that was made that might work is to paint the door the color of the exterior. Maybe that would work if the contrast looked ok.

I have colored trim pieces before, on a past car.
I used a vinyl/plastic dye, which was sold at a shoe store. Looked wonderful, and lasted nicely.
The only time I had issues with it coming off... was on some outside trim pieces, but that was easily touched up at the car show. It never flaked like paint, since the coat is not as thick as paint.
