spray on window tint?
know-it-all coworker was telling me i should get a "spray on" tint for my car.
i never even heard of such a thing. i have only been aware of the stick on film type.
are there such thing as a spray on tint?
he said i should choose the spray on type over the film because of the s2000 doors being window frameless it would look a lot better near the edges. the spay would blend in at the edges better versus the film type which comes to an abrupt stop along the edge.

i have no clue what he means by spray on, but any good tint shop will be able to apply the tint to the very edge and leave less than .5mm to the edge of the glass. i've had this done in a mercedes, lexus, camry, etc.
Tint film is the way to go, if the tint ever peels, tear, bubbles, etc. you can always replace it. The only spray that I'll ever take is factory stock tint. Just do what I did, find a shop that has a life time warranty on their film tints, so if you ever need repairs take it back to them. So far I've had my tint for four years, the only problems I've had is peeling near the bottom window seal, which my warranty took car of
If it's the same spray on tint that was around 20 years ago it's the poor mans version of window tinting. It produces a cheap quality look especially if you don't spray evenly and it's impossible to spray it evenly. Only use spray on tint if you've got red duct tape for taillights and a wire coat hanger for an antenna.
