Default Spring/shocks or Coilovers?

I've searched and searched and I still cant find a good answer to my question.

I'm looking into lowering the car but I'm not looking to spend like $1500+. This is my daily car which I probably won't be using for track purposes. I just want to lower it about 1.2-1.5 inches or so and be as close to the "stock feel" as possible.

At first, I considered just picking some Espilers and possibly Koni shocks but a friend recommended Tien Basics. I don't want to be too cheap and risk killing my suspension but I don't want to spend too much either.

Which would you guys recommend and what is the advantage of coilovers over the spring/shock combo?

Thanks!

Well since you obviously don't wanna spend alot of money. Just get springs, eibachs or tein s-techs, both are nice and ride exceptionally well; and they won't destroy your stock shocks from what I hear. I plan on getting eibachs or teins springs, not sure yet.

I was looking for the same answers but I finally made up my mind. It was between coilovers or just springs, megan coilovers or Buddy club coilovers but imma get Buddy club coilovers because Elton(Raceline)recommend them over Megans. They cost $1k $750 over springs but you get to adjust your ride height and comes with shocks.

Where is a good place to buy the Buddy Club coilovers?

Anyone have inputs on the Tien Basics? The RA and RS are pretty pricey.

If you don't want to spend that much money.......

Then Koni's with a quality spring. You'll have a whole 600 to 800 in them.
