Is it really so hard to pull the wheels and look? Or do we like playing with cardboard

I like to retorque my lug nuts anyway (I'm sure the dealer doesn't do this) when I get the car home.

The Unabageler - You should've manually checked the springs in the first place, don't be so lazy. I hope you don't check to see what's in a sandwich by poking the bread...
I did check manually before, but after reading about the "finger test", I started to doubt myself.

Thanks Silver for the photos.

They should definitely be placed in the FAQ.

Dozer - Are there different spacers that look like hockey pucks?

I'm, in for a gorup buy on this. What will the cost be brought down to

There were rumors about the suspension being set up differently for the 2002. I wonder if they are slightly higher off the ground than the rest of the cars.

I think any differences in suspension stiffness and ride height can just be attributed to the age of the car. Springs and shocks will soften a little over time. I would imagine that a spanking new S2000 will probably sit higher than an older one because the springs haven't "settled" yet.

JonasM -- yes, that was your picture. I did a search and found all of those pictures of the spring spacers in various posts. So while the information is spread around the forum, I think it would be a good idea to consolidate the info and pictures and put it all in a FAQ.

Did you find all of those spacers on your car yourself or did the dealer just hand them all to you? By the way, how many spacers are installed at the factory with each spring?

There has been a pic of spacers in the FAQ (which is plenty complete) for a couple of years.. just click on it.
