Get better tires. Those damn Potenza S02's aren't worth crap.

Get yourself some Goodyear Eagle F1's. I'm not saying that you won't spin out in them, but they stick a hell of a lot better than those damn S02's.

Somone told me our tires (RE050) take a long time to warm up. I've had the a$$ twitch to the side even during redline upshifts when the tires are cold. In the rain, only give throttle in a straight line...

i was in a turning lane and angled towards the right side to get into the lane to go straight...it's a commonly busy intersection so i gave i continuously gave it some throttle to about 70% throttle..i felt like i was doing a pretty normal acceleration where i wasnt gunning it, but i wasnt going really slow. i usually accelerate like that to about 4500-5000rpm and then shift....right around 4500-5000 i felt the back end shake..i dropped it back into neutral but it gave out and turned clockwise... this really bothers me because i know i didnt do anything and couldnt help it...it was a brand new car and had new tires on it... i waited 4 years to buy this car because of my insurance and finally when it goes down, i buy the car and get in a wreck. hopefully ill be able to pay for damages myself, but it sucks cuz that money couldve gone into mods

it was cold out last night..probably about 40 degrees and the ground was wet. i was in 1st. now im scared to even give it any gas past 3k rpm's in the rain i dropped off my car at a collision center garage and left a note, but they wont even be there till tuesday.. im going there with a few friends that work at honda to check out what parts i might need so they can pick them up for me

yea I totalled my Audi S4 in the wet (not raining but roads still wet). I was not speeding, but I was too confident. AWD can still lose traction ya know.. the back cut out around a turn. I tried to correct but I couldn't regain traction.

Never thought an S4 Quattro would have these kind of oversteer reactions... Love the new 420BHP RS4 with the B.I.G. V8 however

it was the shifting to neutral during the period of weight transfer that got you.

your car started to spin, and putting it in neutral shifted weight off the rear wheels. Next time, do not lift off the trhottle (or brake or shift to neutral). Keep on the gas!! You don't have to keep speeding up, but you don't want to slow down either.

70% throttle in the rain IS a little much.

Since I have had my '02 I have went around once on public roads, (in '02) was lucky though and spun into a parking lot entrance (missing any curbs). Same kind of situation - Cool, wet - however I just had my head up my arse and took a right like I do everyday coming home from work and it got away from me.

Now, 3 years later I'm at an auto-x with my S02's @~2/32 tread (basically bald) and my first run is dry. It starts raining good by my 2nd, 3+ runs. Runs 3 and 4 are with in ~.2s (45s course, ~65mph top spd) of my dry run and once reviewing the incar video are much much smoother runs. It really boils down to being a little more proactive and less reactive. I need to find someplace to upload my video too - IMO it shows that the s2k + cool + rain + little tread dont always = spins. Where is a good place (free) to host a 70mb or so vid?

A couple weeks ago, it was snowing very lightly. I made a right turn going 15 mph and all of a sudden the rear end broke loose and I pulled a 180. Luckily there was no oncoming traffic and I was 2 inches from hitting the curb. Scary moment! And I had Blizzacks on too. I probably hit a patch of ice. Be careful out there!
