Smile Spun out

Well, it happened.

Driving 50mph, heavy rain on my way to work, van cuts in from the left lane I try to "pull to my right", but by pull I mean lose complete control and hydroplane, I tried the whole "gradually let go the accelerator", but everything happened so fast that I could not do much about. Luckily, I didn't hit anyone around me.

rear wheel

keep in mind I took the pictures ~2hours after the accident (yes, tow truck took that long) so everything is dry.

I still have to take the car to the adjuster, but I was contemplating taking it myself to the dealer and check for damages.
Just a few days before the accident, I started to heard a "click" or more like a "clack" coming from the rear, but only when my car was cold and I was getting out of my parking space (in reverse and turning my steering wheel to the right).

I had to drive my car the next day, and did not feel anything "obvious", and the steering does not pull to any sides, no vibrations etc. but I felt for a minute like my car was hydroplaning (again), even though the freeway was dry. This time, I did not drive over 45 mph.

Any ideas on damages? the "click"? comments

Man I feel for you. Exactly a year ago last Thanksgiving is when I had my wreck. It was in the rain and cold. I hydroplaned and rolled over into a ditch. By the looks of your pictures it looks like you came out ok. The hydroplaning feeling you said you felt in the dry could be low air pressure in your rear tires maybe? Thats all I can think of but Im glad your ok.

i feel for you too, happened to me about a year ago as well, ......i was shifting into 3rd and the stock tires just didnt hold(it was like 30 degrees) and i went into a fence after a 180.
id guess, if there is no paint damage, about 3k if you have a shop do it, because they will replace everything probably the rim as well

VSA came on a few times, but I didn't notice anything.
I had never hydroplaned in my life, so I really can't say if it made any difference it probably saved me, but I wouldn't know.
I had VSA came on a few times before, usually when is wet and I'm turning into a FWY ramp, but I am probably doing 15mph as opposed to 50.

I noticed VSA light when I slammed the brakes, at this point I was already on my way to the curb, probably at around 40mph, but when I landed I remember seeing 13 going to 0, and it was actually rather smooth. I couldn't help, but keep thinking "I' sh*t there goes my car ", I was expecting to slam over the grass, but I didn't hear any crash, just my car rolling over some weeds.

Is that 3K in suspension repairs? wheels and even tires look and feel (when driving) ok, but my car smells like burnt clutch after I park. And when I cold start the car there is a wine other than the engine, but if I press the clutch it goes away. Oh well, will have to get it checked.
