Default Square like imprint on steering wheel??

I have noticed this since day two of owning the car and its bothering me. My steering wheel has an imprint in it that you can see and feel as well. Do they all have this? If so, why is it like this? It looks as if the airbag deployed and something happened to the sterring wheel in the process...

Try posting a picture and circle the area in question is it is hard to see.

I would wager a bet that it is from the safety sticker that was on the car before you bought it. I sort of have a mark in the same place, rectangle shaped. You can see it more when the car is dusty.

The imprint on mine looks like a small horizontal line going across the horn area just under the Honda logo.

That is the seam for the airbag to break through. The only reason I claim that is that I have seen posted here some photos of an S2000 with the airbags deployed, and the airbag cover was split right along this seam.

It's the airbag burst seam...and yes, you'll need to replae the whole shebang in case of accident.

The seam is more of a very slight depression (about 1/16" wide)...it helps to look at the wheel in light at the right angle.

Ya, I've got this too. Noticed it the first day I had it and it's been bothering me since. I looks as if something was pressed up against the stearing wheel for a while prior to delivery. Thin depression line just under the "H" symbol. WTF?
