Does any one know if you can buy the crankshaft mugen used in their SS2200 to bring the S2000 up to 2,200cc and if so where from and how much?

Hi Sull-

My understanding is that Mugen will produce a 2.2l stroker kit- all parts inclusive, in the future. This kit should include the stroked crankshaft. Who knows WHAT the price of that kit wil be...

Any one know of good gains by that? I heard it wasnt so good? Heck, maybe titanium rods would gain as much at high rpm's as a lil more displacement. Those would be around $600.00 each

Hey guys-

There's absolutely no information available currently on the stroker kit, except that I've heard rumors that it'll come out in the future. I don't know where you get your information from, but my sources will only tell me that much.

I don't usually recommend titanium rods. They react with aluminum, and are significantly more brittle than forged steel. Ti rods are only good for engines that are rebuilt constantly- which is why they are so prevalent in drag racing.
