i tihnk the car is stable at high speeds. i hit 261 and 272 kmh with her and it was ok. i noticed something from my experiences. there are two plastic items in front of the front tires just under the front bumper. if you lost them or if you broke them they really help high speed stability. check them out.

You live off the autobahn or something?

On a straight smooth road, i woulnd't have a problem opening her up all the way, but if theres a decent size bump you just might wind up saying hello to your maker. ALWAYS know your road if you insist on driving fast and don't do it around other cars... your own life is onething, but with other people there, its not fare.
130+ every day.... Where in the US can you drive that fast regularly?

I have to agree with your opinion on bumps. I drive on a road that has a dip/bump combo on a curve and it feels like the car is going to lift off.

Where the hell do you live where you get to drive 155+mph!

I would have thought the S would have been a more stable car at higher speeds given its track pedigree and the fact that it was sold in Germany among other places.

Air pressure should be at 32, check to make sure you didnt break off one of the strakes in front of the front wheels. If that doesnt solve it, have the alignment checked

- lowering springs/coilovers for a lower center of gravity
- front bumper diffusers
- rear spoiler
- lower tire pressure (30 psi)
- slow down - save some gas

X brace for uneven roads...

use the search function and do some reading on the xbraces.

Definately noticed the increased stability on bad roads.

I think that it mostly boils down to experience at high speeds. When I first got to Germany and started driving on the autobahn regularly the S2k did feel a little squirly above 110 mph. Now that I have been here for about 6 months I usually ride at about 130 mph with almost no cares. And I am not talking about a quick jaunt to that speed...I usually reserve that for going 145-155 mph range. It is then that the S has my full attention

If you're in the states though, I can't imagine how you could get the same routine experience at those type of speeds. It is the craziest thing to be going 135+ mph and to not be worrying about cops...just worrying about killing your self.

I take it up to about 100-110 for around 2 hours usually once a week (3am driving), and I've gotten very comfortable with the car at that speed. It's feel for the car. Initially I was a little shocked at how well it felt at those speeds, so I started to push it. I don't start to get any uncomfortable vibes out of the car until I get closer to 130. I'm just not that comfortable going that fast for very long...the thought of going to jail and all. The fastest I've gotten it up to was 153 MPH racing a 911 (new) down 27 at 3 in the morning. I was suprised at how well the car stayed with the porsche...I could feel my nerves were wearing very thin though, and I had the shakes something fierce, so I backed down. The car still felt solid as a rock. I think it has a lot to do with alignment, tire pressure, and your tires themselves. I was on Falken St-115's, which are luxury performance tires, so they're a comforatble controlled ride regardless.
