Stalling?
I just purchased a 2000 S2000 with 5,800 miles on it. The car is mint! Pics will follow soon.
Today, I went through the 8 hour detail to remove oxidation and some marring from the paint. It's about 10 degrees in Chicago and in my garage when I first started it (before my heater had the garage to 50*), the car revved up to like 2,500 rpm and then came back down and stalled. This all happened very quickly.
I started it back up and held the accelerator this time and it was fine. It then idled down to about 1k.
Later, after about 8 hours, but the car had been in a 50 degree garage, I started it again and it revved to 2,500 and then fell to about 200 rpm, about stalled and then caught itself and idled fine at about 1k.
I wonder if it was an isolated case, or if it's something I should worry about? The car ran perfect on my drive home from the prior owners house ( 2 hour drive).
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
