Default Starting to love my S2000

So I bought a 2000 S2K with 4800 miles on it late last year and have started to drive it more as spring arrives. I love it!

Maybe it's just the novelty of the convertible but it's incredibly fun to drive around town. It's precise, tight, and powerful enough. The engine revs like a Dremel. One of my other vehicles is a 2000 BMW M5 which feels almost too powerful around town (yes, I believe there is such a thing as "too powerful").

Just wanted to share some feedback...

So which car do you use as a daily driver? S or M5? I love e39 M5's...So Beautiful and sound so badass!!! Expensive on upgrades and maintenance from what I hear. Whenever you wanna upgrade a part to make more power you've gotta buy 2 of everything(i.e. two intakes) due to the fact that it's a v8. Plus the car is becoming more and more affordable...still a badass car!!

I haven't had any expensive repairs yet on the M5. The most expensive thus far are the from brake pads and rotors. Dealer and specialty shop wanted something crazy like $1400. I bought some quality ones online and had independent shop install for about $600 total.

If weather is warm, I drive S2000, almost always with top down.
If weather is cool or cold, I drive the M5.
If weather is horrible, I drive the Envoy.

If it's going out of town and weather is nice or ok, I drive the M5. The S2K is great fun to drive but for going the 180 miles or so on the highway between Indy and Chicago, the M5 is definitely the better ride.
If it's going out of town and the weather is not ok, I drive the Envoy.

If I'm taking the family and it's in town, I try to take the Mazda.
If I'm taking the family and I have to load a lot of stuff, I take the Envoy.

There's basically a whole flowchart of decision-making.

The original owner of S2K had 10-15 cars and put on less than 5000 miles in almost 9 years. Given the above decision-making process, I will probably put on less than 2000 miles a year. It's possible in 10 years the S2K will have less than 20-25K miles on it.

People who LOVE to DRIVE cars love the S2k.

I wish Honda sold more, then maybe they would not kill it.

Look at Miata, showing no signs of dying. It just got a makeover for 2009.
