Default static rear window tint.. Long term results?

Well, last year, early last year, many owners were putting on the static window tint on their rear windows. Many people said it worked like a charm while others were a little more skeptical and hesistant because they didn't know what the long term effects would be. If it would cause any damage to the plastic rear window over time.

Well, has anyone had any bad experiences so far?

Besides, if it goes bad, it only costs a couple bucks to buy a new sheet of film and cut it to the size of the old one.

Just think of how well it protects the outside of the window from scratches too.

After 8 months, mine is doing well with a little lifting of material along the lower edge. As Humantek stated, I don't care because it only costs a few bucks (and about 45 minutes) to replace it. It does protect the outside of the window from scratches and keeps out the S. Florida sun.

Also prevents the window from creasing. I don't even use a window tube thingy anymore.

Ditto all of the above. Mine has been on for over a year. I also stopped using tube/towel on the outside of the window.

Highly reccommended.
