Default Steering feels looser after front tire replacement

Just had two new front s02's put on my MY00. Now the steering has more play in it and a looser feel to it. This normal? Any comments opinions appreciated. Thanks guys.

Brand new tires are very "smooth" on the outer tread surface from manufacturing. Run them for a couple hundred miles to scrub the tread up and if it still feels the same, then you may have a real issue.

Did you check the tire pressure yet? Most places that install tires usually do not put them at the correct PSI. Maybe they're over inflated so there's less contact patch so steering feels lighter.
