WhiteS2k, I hope you've figured out I (and others) was just joshin' with ya. We don't really think you've got a death grip on the wheel. Unfortunately, it's just your particular way of holding the wheel (personal driving habits) and I can see where you would get soreness from the stitching. Have you seen that current thread here with the red/white/blue steering wheel wrap? Besides looking cool, something like this might allow you to wrap the wheel in such a way that the stitching is not directly under where you put your thumbs. Or, on a long trip - gloves, driving or mechanics would improve the comfort level.

never a problem with the steering wheel. IMO, we're blessed with one of the best steering wheels available in any car, bar none.

The steering wheel on this car is great. Just buy some nice driving gloves, like others have suggested.

Thats way harsh!!! And funny as hell.

Ease up on that grip chief. I drove my S from Georgia to New York in less then two days and I had NO problem with the wheel that sat in my hands for eight hours each day. I wonder what would happen if you tried that Kung Fu grip on a 2000+ mile journey like mine.
