Default Stickers on the Back Window

I was planning on placing a couple color printed vinyl decals (such as the Color Shock brand stickers with university logos, etc.) on the exterior of the back glass window (of course strategically placed so not to take away any more of the already limited view). However, when the top is folded down, the top comes in contact with the exterior portion of the glass.

I was wondering if anyone has had experience with stickers on the glass back window of the S2000. Will the sticker wear off from the top rubbing when down? Will it leave marks on the top?

Any experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thats kind of tacky, I think it looks good if you put a nice sticker on the wind screen/deflector but thats it...

He wasn't asking about aesthetics. He was asking about durability.

I can't answer for sure. You might have to just try it and see.

My fault, I have no clue about the durability

Yup, I'm interested in durability. And I'm more concerned with having it discolor the top or getting sticky $#!+ on the top that'll be a b!+c# to get off than I am with the sticker getting old.

I hear what you're sayin'. I'm not planning on putting anything crazy on the car. Just a small and conservative alumni logo (like I've had on all my cars).

I've test-viewed it both on the rear window and the wind deflector. I like both. But I would prefer to have it on the back window so that it matches my other car. Although, I like that it can be seen on the deflector top up or down.

I'm pretty sure that something on the inside of the window would be fine. After all, the defogging element is on the inside and it does OK. When the top folds, it is the outside of the window that the top folds onto.

I was actually planning on putting on an exterior decal for this car that most likely would come in contact with the exterior of the top. I'd prefer not to put an interior decal on that would have to cross defogging elements. Since the window is so small, the entire window is defoggable (is that a word? ) so there is no gap usually good for an interior decal.

Well then try it.

Or maybe just put some masking tape in the place where the decal would go and see if the tape gets rubbed up.
