Default stock exhaust diameter help!

i'm putting on a new muffler, the inlet is 2.5 inches... so i need to get a converter. now i need to know the diameter of the stock pipe because i need to know what kind of converter to get (e.g. - 2.0 i.d. to 2.5 o.d.). and would i use i.d. or o.d for the stock side? thanks.

just talk to a shop before you do it

i know it's ricey, but i figure if people wanna be impressed by a nice stock s2000, there are plenty around town, i want mine to stick out (plus they are just temporary). believe me if i could afford a cat-back i would definitely get one, but i'm 18, and the s2000 payments alone are a pain in my a$$. i went to the shop and they want $300 to put them on... and i paid $100 for both mufflers... seems like a rip off to me.
