I've noticed that if I unlock the door using the remote and do not open the door, it will lock itself back up... can someone confirm this?

thanks,

The stock security system has a switch on it to toggle between "manual" (lock/arm only when button is pressed), "auto arm" (arm automatically after 20/30 seconds, but don't automatically lock), and "auto arm/lock" (arm & lock automaticially after 20/30 seconds).

By default, the system is set to manual. I grabbed a mirror, a flashlight, and an unbent paper clip and flipped mine from manual to auto arm/lock. Took a little time to do it due to limited space, but no big deal.

The stock system also comes with 2 remotes (in addition to the 2 that come with the car)....haven't been able to get the originals to disarm the alarm in addition to unlocking the car (don't think they can), but that doesn't really matter since the "Option" button on the stock system remotes can be programmed to release the trunk.

Maybe you guys should try the Boomerang 2000 alarm system, it has one exceptional feature that really impresses and that is when you leave the car with the keys out within one metre the doors automatically lock itself and vice-versa. This is just one feature, there are just damn too many to list.

The car will actually relock itself WITHOUT the alarm also.

Ok, good, since my car does not have the alarm, just the remote lock and unlock. The question is, do we still have all these other modes?
