I checked with Honda part at Honda parts and found that the seat cannot be bought as a complete unit but rather by pieces which total well over $2000. But saying that I've heard horror stories where both seats were stolen and insurance company totaled car and the owner lost money. You can get a nice after market seat for $1000. Maybe do some wreckingyard checking for OEM seat?

Check the classifieds. I'm sure you can find a used one if similar condition for much less then a grand. Or you can upgrade like oldsoldier said.

yea i see good condition pairs on craigslist for 600 or less, I would take it, get a replacement seat, and spend the rest on something else for your car

Is that $1,000 after deductible? If yes I don't think they're trying to rip you a new one.

$1000 would get you a nice aftermarket seat, or a used stock seat. A brand new OEM seat is going to be almost $2000.

i could swear that someone did a list out of the parts and it came to about $4000 for one seat.
