Sorry you had a bad personal experience. We have all been somewhere and the service wasn't great. If it's a chronic problem thats a good point. But if not what do you have?

Have a MY00, my insurance co said they might need to total the car if they can't find used black seats at a salvage yard...still my deductible is $1000!

They might offer me $7000 if they can't find anything, does that sound like a fair price?!....so sad, there is a special place in hell for thieves...

Maybe I should give up and get a 09 Fit this fall...

If i do get new seats, where can i get some of those locks?
I must ask- where are they getting their figures???? From NADA:

PRICING:
Low Retail Clean Retail High Retail
Base Price $10,500 $12,325 $13,375
67,000 miles(+add) $1,650 $1,650 $1,650
TOTAL PRICE $12,150 $13,975 $15,025

It looks they are at least 5K below where they need to be....

Always fight their offer. You can get a lot more. Ask GEICO to find you a 2000 S2K with 67K miles selling in your area for $7K...

I hope so- he said in the opening post "insurance said they might have to total the car if they can't find used black seats". If they totaled it he would have to turn it over to them. If they are offering 7K and he keeps the car- not such a bad deal. He can find some seats(his own possibly) on EBay- like these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OEM-s2k-bla...sspagenameZWDVW for much less and end up with some extra cash. Or get new Bride seats.

a pair of used seats is about $500-$800. A local salvage yard had a pair with 30,000 miles for $500 a few months back
