Default Stongard a leased S2000?

Hi gang,

Just a couple of questions.

1) Would you Stongard an S2000 that you were going to lease for 3 years?

2) I'll be taking delivery of one of the last 2001 S2000's next week. My Muzmat and window tube probably won't arrive before I take delivery. Does anyone know of a good temporary substitute for these two items?

Thanks,

Mike

Simply.. if you're going to keep it after the lease (or you are considering it), then do it, otherwise don't bother.

Nope,

If you really think you are going to keep the car, then spend the extra cash. But if you are going to keep then don't lease.

If you are going to trade it in, then why bother? You are not getting paid extra to keep it clean.

Just my opinion.

Nope, wouldn't do it. Save your money for something else.

For a temp muzmat solution use a clean cotton towel or head to a fabric store (or walmart) for some material. I believe some have used flannel. And for the window tube - you can make one from a "pool noodle" covered in soft material.

I have heard of dealers charging up to $1200 for paint chips on the front of a turned in leased vehicle that are not considered "normal wear and tear" on the Clark Howard show even before I got involved with StonGard. I think it depends mostly on the leasing company so if you have leased cars before and turned them in with no extra turn in fees then it wouldn't matter. You might ask your salesman, have him call me if you want, if they can "residualize" the StonGard and it wouldn't cost as much. That would be a win, win, win(one for me) situation.
