I feel for ya Pete..My cars been away for 2 weeks...but don't jump the gun. Saturday is supposed to be 12 degrees. As for me, topped up the tank. Washed it, and bumped up my tire pressure to 45psi.

PS, were all gonna grab a beer soon and ***** about how we can't drive our cars...so keep checking back.

Mike

went to the dealer today to change the oil... told me to add a fuel...!?... sh!t, i forgot... supposed to help, ... something... i'll ask again...

i am going to pump up tires, wash, fill gas tank, cover, unplug battery and raise it...

i probably won't get a chance to start the engine very often...

by the way, i went in for the seatbelt recall today and they are going to fix my gear box as well... the notchy-ness that i have experienced has finally been looked after... or so i think... the dealer said the have received a memo to change the syncros... i will have it back for thurs...

just in time for the weekend... assuming it is going to be 12 degrees!...

hey mindcore,

maybe you should tell geordie to call his dealer... i remember he had problems with his gear box as well...

if his dealer is clueless then tell him to go to parkway honda... eglinton and dvp...

you may have to ***** more then once though...

if he needs help getting the problem fixed right away give me call... i may be able to pull some strings!...

I think the best thing to do to your car in the winter is to fill up the gas and DRIVE it.

Mike let me know if your going for a beer I'm in.

Pete- Having just recently obtained my S2K I can practically recite the owner's manual verbatim to you. As far as storing the car, the "book" says to
-fill the tank
-change oil and filter before storing
-leave parking brake off (leave tranny in reverse)
-leave one window open slightly
-disconnect battery
-put rags between wiper blades and windshield
-if possible, run the engine at least once per month

If storing more than a month, put car on blocks to get tires off the ground. Also a good idea to put some Honda Fuel Stabilizer in the tank, gasoline tends to break down into gummy resins that clog important parts if it's left unmoved for a length of time

Hey Tam2,
Sounds like your dealer may be worth a visit. Anyhow you may want to add a bottle of Sta-bil to your gas tank. Its cheap ($7CDN) at canadian tire and you just run the car for 5mins after you add it. Beyond that there are a million different tips some of which are:
take off the parking break
leave out of gear
wash n wax
change oil and filter
add air to tires (over fill a little)
disconnect battery and use a trickle charger
(canadian tire $30CDN you gotta love that place!)
and so on, and so on, ...
Car care never ends

Geordie
