Default Storing Wheels

I'm about to get a new set of wheels for my car and I'm planning on keeping my stock wheels in case I need them in the future. How do most people store wheels? I live in an apartment and don't have a ton of room. There is a bit of room in the garage in front of my car where I'll probably end up stacking them on top of each other. Any advice? Should I cover them? If so, what do most people use? Just wanted to get some ideas.

i just stack them on top of each other, if you have cardboards place them between each wheel.

Put something on the ground under the bottom tire so it doesn't stain the concrete.

Big Contractor garbage bags.

Will there be tires left on these wheels?

Great advice so far. Looks like some cardboard and a few industrial size garbage bags are the way to go

and yes, I will be storing these with the tires still on.

I've seen people stack them by twos and put a solid wooden board on top and cover it with bed sheets and use them as tables. Then again, this was seen at a friend's place that had four sets of wheels.

Use the 3 mil contractor trash bags, make them as airtight as possible and out of direct sunlight. Also preferrably in a temperture controlled room. Repetitive hot/cold heat cycles can shorten the usable life.

Store them (tires moreso than wheels) away from electric motors.

Stack it up like those tire shops and lean the top one up to display it as a nice design to the place in a corner of your apartment.
