Default The Story of the S2000

People of s2ki

As you may or may not know last year we won best club stand at JAE. (The biggest Japanese car show in the UK)
This year we have bigger plans, but we need your help!!

Link to JAE Thread: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=227003

I have a mahoosive marquee for the stand, and want to do something interesting in it. Various ideas are forming like:
  • A History of the S2000, on A1/A0 type display boards
  • Showing articles written about the S2000 from Motoring press
  • Showing DVD's of meets that have been done
  • Showing lots of pics from meets
  • Xbox or PS2 set up to play GTA4 / PGR2 driving the S of course!
Lots of colour, lots of interesting stuff.

So now your help is required - and volunteers welcomed....

I need to collect as much info, collated and sorted about the above. SO:
  • If anyone wants to sort out the History of the S2000 - I can make it look pretty and will organise printing etc. I'd love to hear from you

  • If you have any articles in pdf or good scans from magazines, Please email them to me on my s2ki username at s2ki.com

  • If you have any film clips which are well edited please also email them or post a CD/DVD to PO Box 2000, Rickmansworth, WD3 9WX, UNITED KINGDOM. These can be of track days, meets, whatever, just need to be well put together, ie not random stuff.

  • Send me a CD (or email a zip file) of your best S2000 Photos -any theme will do, it could be car mods, meets, track days, races, scenic S2000 shots, technical shots - must be interesting and good shots you are proud of. (same address/es as above) the Higher the res the better.
If you have any other ideas of stuff we could do, please let me know!

Really appreciate your help guys!

Ian

The book is called (no surprise) "Honda S2000". Authored by Daniel F. Carney through MBI Publishing Co, 2001. It is EVERYTHING you want to know about the S2K, including its design and development. Also insludes a couple of pages on each of the S2K's natural adversaries (Boxter, Z3, etc) $19.95. Very nice book, lots of color photos, slick and heavy paper stock. Every owner should have a copy.

I'll have to buy one of those. I happen to have a gift certificate for Amazon from last Christmas.
