I would like to know the specifics of this dyno test because it looks too good to be true. It looks like other variables, other than the header are not being held constant. Why would a header give a consistent, significant performance boost over every RPM range?

well, without questioning the validity of this particular dyno sheet... why is it difficult to believe that you can get gains across the entire band? The spoon header was pretty good in this regards and they were tuned for top end, as evidenced by the 12.x hp gains that Mingster showed with his.

BTW, checking DC's website, it looks like they use an engine dyno on their other charts... donno if this was the case for S2000. Also, it looks like none of thier charts cross at the 5250 line.

all speculation.
someone needs to do a before and after dyno run - until then it's all guessing (and i, for one, will not be buying until we see proof).

Well, it'll be probably atleast three weeks before I have a before and after... 2 weeks from DC, another week to ship, and probably another couple weeks between shipping to coater, coated, and come back.

but I think in a way this is good for me. I have a base line right now, but the car only had 3100 miles at the time. Many say that car will make more power after 5000. So I'll do another dyno closer to install date to get that out of the factor... I should be able to do 1200-1300 miles in 5 weeks.

RT - that's why I said I don't know if they used it on the S2000... although I doubt it, because I doubt they had an F20C just sitting around.

Randy: If the DC header was an exact copy of Spoon's, then that plot is not possible. But seeing as the design is completely different, it is possible. But hey, I donno. All I know is that even if it only made 5hp, the fact that it made 5hp, is lighter, and a lot cheaper than spoon or mugen is good for me.
