As anything documented with racing and mainstream news media, this sucks.

They describe the scenario multiple times as a "game of cat and mouse" and seem more concerned about harassing the groups involved in street racing (because not EVERYONE there races) than genuinely caring about the safety of innocent drivers, bystanders, or the street racers themselves. To me, it just looks more than ever like a revenue stream instead of an effort to ensure public safety.

The police never do anything illegal - they never speed with their lights off, have windows tinted too dark for state law, turn on their lights so they can run a red light.

Interesting video.

I just don't find drag racing appealing at all, so I don't have a problem with the idiots that do it illegally getting caught.

Silver ap1 @ 35:44 and a gpw ap1 @ 37:42. I saw more but didn't keep track till the end.
The thing is there is a legal place to race in Kent and its probably the best place to do so in the entire state.

Pacific Raceways - It has a road track, drag strip, and a kart track next door which use to allow cars too.

Some people just like the thrill of street racing or don't want to go up against the legit crowd at the strip.
