Default street suspension question

This question is for a S2000 that will see the race track maybe once or twice a year if that. I mainly want to lower the car for looks and improve handling on the street if possible.

Wheels on the car are 18" Volk LE37s and Michelin Pilot sport tires.

I am trying to figure out whether to go with coilovers or with the Koni Yellow shocks and aftermarket springs. I want to lower the car between 1.2-1.5 inches. I really dont need adjustability. Once its set where I want, it will get an alignment and be left alone.

I dont mind a stiff ride at all as long as it actually improves handling. I could do the Ground Control adjustable kit with the Konis or a spring like the KG/MM or Espelir. Or I could do something like the Tein Flex or Megan Racing coilovers.

I dont want to spend too much money if I dont have to since I spend a lot on my other car already. Therefore, I am not going to be purchasing $2000 coilovers.

which would you do?

H&R Coilovers!! Get them from Tire rack. They're the cheapest I found for them PERIOD. They don't have infinite a trillion settings, but gives you whatever ride height you want, and are top quality. I got mine a few weeks ago. I can't comment on performance on the S yet because they're not installed, but do wonders for VW/Audi/BWW.

Ok I've narrowed it down to Tein Flex or H&R coilovers

OR

Koni Yellows and KG/MM race or Espelir springs

I installed my Espiler springs last sunday and absolutly love them. It gives the car a very aggressive stance, and alsmost eliminates fenderwell gap without having any rubbing issues. I will be updating my stock shocks to Koni Yellow's soon. I'm very happy with the springs

i'm pretty much in the same situation as you where i plan on tracking the car once/twice a year and autocrossing a bit more than that...but it's still my daily driver. i've narrowed it down to tein flex, bilstein pss9 (due to the price), and possibly H&R coilovers but i haven't read reviews on them yet.
