Here's my strut brace from Muz.

I love the way it looks on the S2000, dresses up the engine bay considerably, IMO. The strut bar had yellow ends, I believe Muz stated they are now coming painted in silver. MyBad and I used some sandpaper for the paint and then applied some black flat paint.:) I love the look now!

The Comptech design is annoying. The hex bolts always seem like they're going to strip, and on my 02, the hood wouldn't close normally. I'm going with a Spoon bar on my 03.

You may have a bad one? I have the comptech on a 2002 and have no fitment issues at all. I am very happy with the design. I don't have the X-Brace but have heard thats the way to go.

Which STB's will clear an AEM CAI?

Can any of these STB's that aren't one-piece like the Neuspeed truly be of any benefit? I would think the most functional STB would be one in which the entire unit is of one mass otherwise isn't structural integrity compromised?

My old Comptech bar cleared it.

Here's a pic of the Comptech STB:

I mainly bought my STB for looks. From reading older posts, I wasn't expecting to feel much difference handling wise, and to me, there really wasn't much difference. If there was, it was probably all mental. If you're looking for something that will stiffen up the handling, I'd suggest getting a thicker front sway bar. I have the STB, X brace, and Comptech adj. front sway bar on my car, and the sway bar seemed to make the most difference IMO.

I can't tell you how it stiffens the "s" but on my supra it made a world of difference. I know the s2000 is a newer design and much stiffer than the supra, which felt like a wet noodle with the targa top off, so I'm guessing it would make a huge difference but it would make some.
