I'm still trying to decide on a plate after almost a year. The rules are very strict in connecticut which greatly limits the possibilities. basically you cannot have numbers and letters interweaved. The rules state you must have a dash (dot) between all groups of numbers and all groups of letters and only one dash per plate. so for example,'S2K' is out since it would need to be S-2-K which requires 2 dashes. It also removes combinations such as REDAT9K. Limit 6 characters, no spaces.

suggestions?

9-grand (sounds like I paid $9000 for the car.. not so hot )
REDAT-9 looks bad

Don't move to Connecticut.
