Suggestions: Alarm and LoJack is not enough...
I just had an alarm, wheel locks, and a Lojack installed on my '02 Spa Yellow S2K. Considering that I also have a club on the steering wheel, I'm hoping it is safe.
However, according to my insurance agent here in Texas, all these items are not enough to get an insurance discount. He said I also need to add a supplemental hood lock and a battery backup for the alarm to get a discount. This makes sense, but I have no idea where to get these or what types are available. Suggestions????

Lojack sucks ASS.
I had them do my 2002 Z28 back in January. Talk about incompetence. Never again will I have a Lojack unit on any future car.
As far as insurance in Texas is concerned it didn't help my rate either. Although they didn't tell me about the battery backup and hood lock....interesting.

What made the Lojack so bad was the dipshiat who installed it. After coming out to my house he told me before I let him touch the car that there were 8 different places on a Camaro that the unit could be placed.
Since they have that policy of not even letting the owner see where the unit goes, in case in some drunken stupor I suppose you say "Hey everybody guess where my Lojack unit is on my car," I had to leave the garage but instucted the guy that no matter what he was not to touch the dash in any form or fashion. Well guess where he put it. Of course. He tore apart my dash and put it somewhere under there. What made it so awful was that the dumbass broke to attachment clips because he didn't know they were there and I had to have my brand new car worked-on/repaired with less than 200 miles.
What is it that they say about first impressions? Anyhow they lost my business.

Ok, back to the topic. Where can I get a secondary hood lock and a battery backup for my alarm? Does anyone have either of these on their S2000?

Clifford makes a backup battery siren which will directly plug into a clifford system. Viper also makes one. They are no more than $70 and worth the investment since a thief will not mess with a car making lots of noise. Also, make sure you hide the backup siren in a place where it is hard to find.
There are two types of Hood locks: mechanical (chain), can be easily snipped or electrical (metal plate blocking the opening) can be wired with alarm. Only problem is that you it might rust and fail due to cold weather or humidity in which case you will be stuck!!!
I would just recommend a hood pin to activate the alarm. With an alarm, you just want to deter the thief as long as possible. If they wanted it, they will take it.
