Default Suggestions on fixing...

... the holes left in the side of the car from the side strakes that are no longer there.

My car originally had the factory side strakes, but somewhere along the line they got broken. So there are no longer any side strakes, but there are the holes left by them (one on each side).

I don't really like the strakes in the first place, so I'm not going to spend $300+ just to plug the holes. There's got to be some simple solution to this... I've done bodywork before, so I suppose I could fiberglass it from the back and then use a tiny bit of bondo to bring the level up to that of the rest of the body, but I'd still have to paint it.

Any other ideas?

Stick your favourite round decal over the hole.

What color is your car?

Can you get a rubber grommet/cap to slip in there?
Will look pretty stealth if you have Berlina.
Might look a little Z06 if you don't color-match it, but even color matching a plug will be easier and less than bondo/fiberglass/paint panel.
