Default Suggestions for Lightweight Racing Wheels

Hey guys, need some suggestions for racing wheels, lightwieght. I kinda lean toward Motegi Formula 5 style wheels, keeping the 16 in size for drag racing. What do you think? Also what is a good tire?

I have and will always be a fan of Volk wheels. For extreme light weight wheels, the TE37's have been a constant classic, but they have a new line, that is even lighter.

Check it out....

The Stock wheels that come on the JDM S2K are lighter than stock, and are 16".

I'm looking into 16" wheels that have the correct offset, and have not had much luck. If you don't care about offset, yeah, volk TE37's, or spoon SW388's will work. Or CE28N's by volk.

Screw 16s go with 13 by 8 Weld draglights they weigh in at 8.6lbs a rim and look like they belong on a low rider. Lol. (All true.) Volks are nice. Spoon sws are better (just cause its spoon sports JP) Mike

Hmm....the guys at the shop always say Spoon, or JDM wheels. I can get the JDM, might be interested in those. Ar they lighter than spoon or volk?

There are Velox wheels (PG-5 S) which are 12.5 lbs each in 17's.

I think the Spoons are about the lightest wheels you can get. I have a set for the track. The only problem is that if you've lowered the car, you may get some rubbing at the front tires.

The Spoon wheels are expensive.
JDM would be nice, aren't they 6 spoke?

I recommend Spoon, they are the lightest that I've seen.
