I'd suggest to always keep sunblock in the car so that you have it if you want it. I ended up with a wicked tan line from my shorts after our FL Super Meet back in April. I wish I had remembered to put it on my legs that day.

My head has been burned so many times that I can't even count them. My hair is very short, so the sun leans down right on top of my head. I have found an awesome new sun block though. It's Coppertone Sport. It comes in a blue spray bottle. The best thing about it is that it is thin, and oil free. You can spray it on your head, rub it in, and your hair doesn't look greasy if your hair is short like mine. (1/4" or less )

I think sunblock is a good idea anytime you're out in the sun.

This is one awesome sunscreen, Gillete Complete Skincare. My girlfriend steals it daily, but it's marketed towards men.

Any dermatologist will tell you that sunblock is essential for any extended sun exposure. Skin cancer is nothing you want to mess around with (I know from personal experience).
