Default Super Charging VS Turbo

Hey dudes (and dudettes) . What are the pros and cons of going super vs turbo? What experience has anyone had with typical conversions and reults? I know who puts SC kits together but who offers turbo and whats involved in installation? Which way would you all go?

No turbos in CA that are legal, that's 1 reason to SC.

Thanks for the opinion.

Ease of installationand tuning are definite considerations.

He means "CARB" approved, and I believe this requirement applies to CA only. There is nothing illegal about a supercharger in other states, AFAIK. And I don't know about the laws in CA, but as long as you can still pass emissions, other supercharger/turbo kits may also be "legal" in CA.

Take my warning: Unless you have a decent sized budget, and plenty of time and patience don't turbo your car. I easily doubled my original budget for the turbo, and am having one hell of a time dealing with the many problems its causing. If you're looking for a go-fast mod, and don't mind not having a lot more torque down low, I definitely recommend the SC. There's hardly any tuning involved and you will have instant gratification. There is a lot of tuning to be done with getting the turbo done, but it will be very satisfying once everything is taken care of.

Thanks for the info. One of the goals was to improve the low end torgue but it sound like the pains to go turbo don't justify it.
