A supercharger or turbo is nothing more than an air compressor. I would think that if your ECU were working correctly, it would try to keep the air/fuel mixture the same. If you are now putting more air into the engine, then the ECU would put more fuel to keep the air/fuel ratio the same. From the sounds of these posts, at low RPM, at least, it isn't getting much more air than normal?

Well if y'all want to get all scientific and specific I'll argue that mine stayed exactly the same because the extra power I have allows me to get from one light to the next without staying on the throttle as long as a NA S2000. I blow through a few gears and coast on. So that's where I make up the 2-3 MPG the I "lose" from the extra fuel.

i belive whatever mod u do as long as efficiency of the motor is not comprimised the fuel consumption should stay the same. meaning if u have a full tank thet full tank will provide so much energy to get from point a to b as long as the time and drag or loss of energy such as air drag and maybe loss in the drivetrain wider tires are constant.

Without SC almost 30. With SC 26 and a fraction. I don't think I run it any harder now than I did without SC. My car's a weekender but I check my mileage carefully. It's worth the extra fuel to get there that much quicker

for me, I think I lost about 20 miles from full tank. I used to get about 250~270 miles with full tank but I'm getting about 230~250 miles.

Any regrets? I'm on the line of doing it. Mostly cause of finance reasons

Its been more than a few weeks now. In fact its been almost 20 years.

You'll have better success posting a new thread in the fi subforum. Ask if anyone has regrets going fi. Tell us what system you are planning on. Turbo, sc, which brand, etc.
