Well i can't decide so i need your guys help. I had my eyes set on the Comptech s/c the day i picked up my s2k 2 yrs ago. But now Vortech has one. Has anyone heard these do they sound sweet? which one sounds louder?,nastier?can you hear the s/c winding up? (boy i love that sound)is the 5k worth the investment. Or should i save some cake and get some wheels I have it narrowed down to the Mugen mf10's in bronze,Volk te37's in either bronze or gunmetal,Advan rg's in gold, or Work workmeister s2r's Ilike them all equally but unfortunatly i can't buy them all.which ones my s2k is silverstone. any help or suggestions would be appreciated. What should i choose? and why.

well, you have to make the one choice...wheels or S/C. If you choose S/C you have only to choose vortech or comptech. If you go wheels, you have SO many options...how many choices do you want to make? heheheh.

I made the wheel choice. Don't regret it, b/c I love the car's performance still...will go FI when money is here, and I feel the need. Good luck in your choice.

Go Supercharger, suprise cars that are supposed to be faster than you. Do a search on the vortech vs. comptech. there are many threads on this subject. Know also that comptech is coming out with an intercooler very soon and there is a writeup on one of their tuned s2000's coming up in R&T (or one of the big car mags) next month.

2) having ppl look at you b/c you just blew them away when you shouldn't be able to

IMO, coming from someone who's had both(SSR GT3's and Comptech SC - sold the SSR's after getting the SC), I would go with the SC. I'm in the process of selling my car, but might get another one in a year or 2 - first thing I would do though(if I had to start all over again) would be the suspension mods I had(Comptech Adjustable front sway bar, Digrappa X-Brace, and Comptech STB).

SC is great, had another member let me take his SC out for a spin before i decided i wanted one. dependable power coming in at reasonable levels. TC is more of a kick in the pants, but it costs more and i think causes more strain on engine and drivetrain since the power comes on sooner/lower in the RPM range. SC give some boost at all levels, starts to become really noticeable above 4000 and just builds from there. several people are selling used kits, you can get a good deal on price that way if you can deal with no warranty on SC from manufacturer.

i have had it on for over about 14 months now, never sorry i got it.

Well, how do you drive? Are you always trying to do all the car will do? Like to race? If you answered no to these q's, no need in getting the S/C. BTW, my favorite wheels are the Work S2R, and the Volk te37, can't go wrong with either one of those. Good luck with your decison.
