I'm thinking of putting in a supercharger but i heard alot of how all that power will stress the engine. I would think with a 4 cyclinder pushing 240 to stressing the engine already. My question is basicly will the supercharger shorten the life of the engine and any other negatives of getting a supercharger. Thanks alot!

 

Yes it will shorten the life and void the engine warranty.

That being said, I am about to have one installed on mine!

 

I've heard some owner looking to wait for their warranty to expire first.

In either case when it breaks, you get to fix it, am I missing something here?

 

Yea, if you wait for the warranty to expire you are covered by the warranty until its expired So if something naturally goes wrong with the engine or drive train, you haven't voided the warranty. Once its expired, you have to pay for anything that breaks anyway, so making modification that void the warranty is not an issue.
