Sway bars
well i got the springs and the shocks are on the way, but i felt that i needed some sway bars to improve my handling to the max. Does anyone have any suggestions on what brand sway bar?
IMO from what I have learned, get a cross bar for the underside before you get a top sway bar. Spoon makes a good one.
Anyone wanting a top mounted sway bar should look under the housing box of the air filter and notice the HUGE I BEAM there. I fear that a top sway bar would only be cosmetic.
Coilovers would make a huge difference. I know I want some!!

Alright I have racked my brain to try to figure out the difference and I am going to proclaim my retardedness openly and ask:
where is this sway bar and how is it different from a STB? I was always under the impression (since I have probably heard them mentioned in the same conversation with other people) that the terms were interchangable.
Keep in mind I am not a tuner or gear head and this may be a superiorly stupid question to some but I am a slave to assumption at this point and never bothered to educate myself on this subject
Please enlighten me and I will read this thread again when I get home from work

An STB (strut tower brace) and xbrace both help in increasing the structural ragidity of the chasis.
Sway bars help transfer loads from the outside wheel around a corner to an inside wheel, which creates less lean and better weight distribution throughout the corner.

xbrace (this is Whiteline's version which is slightly different, but you get the idea)
