Default T-sport to 04 S2000

I am planning on buying an 04 or 01 tax friendly S2000, I am a little worried about the the transition from the Toyota Celica T-sport that has a 1.8 and pushes 190BHP to the S2000.
I want to use the S2000 for everyday use, and just wondering how much you can fit in the boot? has anybody got a set of golf clubs in?
Also how much space is there behind the seats? It looks to me like you can fit a beer mat an thats about it!

are the 04's worth the extra 3K over the pre 04's?

The last question I have is what MPG can you get out of one these beauties?

Your help would be much appreciated and I am currently looking out for a s2000 but your advice will help me decide on the model.

thnx.

I think your expectation of a response within 30 minutes, early in the morning is unreasonable. (Despite the "i", s2ki is still very US-centric in most of the forums.) Especially since there's an entire forum on s2ki dedicated to questions just like this. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showforum=21

But to give you some quick answers...
A lot. But I've never tried golf clubs.
Depends on how tall you are. I have an inch or two of space.
No. It all boils down to the condition of the car. A better condition 03 is better than an 04, a better condition 04 is better than an 03.
22 to 24 mpg in the city, 26 to 30 mpg on the highway.

Golf clubs... depends on your bag and your clubs.

Bags that were made for walking will fit. Most of the modern drivers wont fit inside your bag and inside the trunk at the same time. You will have to place them on top of each other.

I take it the S2K does not have a cam belt but a chain system like my Toyota?

Search for the AP1 v. AP2 debate threads as to whether a pre-04 is better than a 00-03. It's a dead horse!

I get about 31 mpg on the highway and most will do that if driven softly (that's miles per US gallon).

You can fit a couple sweaters and maybe a video camera in the boot with the top up. The trunk is not bad for such a small car. I easily fit enough luggage for a week long trip with the woman.
