Default T1R Sparrow on 2006!

After reading that the 2006 ap2 had a different exhaust channel, I thought I was out of luck in picking up an exhaust aside from invidia.

But I talked to Wayne at Speed Star Racing in Sunnyvale and he made a few calls for me and assured me that the exhaust will fit, but I would just need to pick up a pair of AP1 exhaust hangers.

And what do you know, the exhaust fits perfectly without any issues.

The exhaust sounds great, very very nice note. A little on the louder side, but not too bad.

Just giving the 06 guys a heads up.

GREAT!!! I've been wanting the T1R Sparrow for a long time. This is great news!! Guess I'll have to drop by the parts department to pick up some AP1 exhaust hangers. Do you by any chance have the part number?

Do you have any pics? What do you have to do with the AP1 hangars? Do you need to change the hangars on the car? If so can't I just bring it to a muffler shop to have it done? Just wondering as I am looking into getting exhaust for my 06.

Yup, they're just the rubber hangers

I can get a picture tomorrow.

The AP1 hanger bushings will replace the bushings near the tips of the AP2 muffler. The AP2 06 muffler has a triangular bushing.

You can have a muffler shop do the install, but just pick up the hanger bushings first.
